J. Bauman Salon was founded in 1993 (then known as Arturo's) by Les Arthur Bauman. His vision was to provide quality services at reasonable prices. He started out with 2 stylists and built his business over the next 4 years. In 1996 Jes Bauman moved from New York and one year later took over the business from his father. Today, Jes is the owner as well as a stylist.
J. Bauman is in a convienent location on the north side of downtown Orlando. It is a block south of Virginia Ave across from The Track Shack, just north of Colonial Drive on Mills Ave. Only 20 min from Dr Philips and Altamonte Springs, and just a few miles from I-4 and the East-West Expressway, getting there is quick and easy.
J. Bauman Salon projects a comfortable yet contemporary atmosphere. Sleek lighting fixtures, light wood flooring and rich stucco-like walls contribute to its eclectic appeal. A large reception and waiting area open into the salon facility. The hair salon area includes twelve hair stations and a separate drying lounge.
An exciting new addition to J. Bauman is the Day Spa. After six months of construction to renovate and join two existing spaces J Bauman proudly opened its new facility including their day spa. The new facility was designed to accommodate a full range of salon services including facials & masks, manicures/pedicures, and massage. There are separate rooms dedicated to facials and massage, as well as a new pedicure lounge and manicure area. The manicure area is spacious and bright with large windows that offer a view of the surrounding area. The pedicure lounge accommodates two at a time, so you can bring your best friend along for company!

Trained in the latest techniques, they are happy to add the oomph back to your existing style or work with you to find a new style that suites your tastes and lifestyle. Bauman is Styles on Video, a computer software system that allows you to preview several hairstyles before you change your look. Manicure and pedicure services are available as well as customized facials and tanning. You may also purchase popular lines of professional hair products including, Redken, OSIS, and Pureology.
