How To End Summer With A Bang(s)

Switch It Up

Though it’s more than likely that we still have a couple of months left of summer here in Florida, I’m not letting that stop me from dreaming of pumpkin spice lattes and cooler days. As far as hair goes, the end of summer usually means my clients transition their color to a darker shade, and are usually ready for a change in their haircuts.

My suggestion to them this year? Bangs. It’s the perfect way to totally switch up your look, and with cooler weather on the horizon, they won’t have to worry about sweating out their style. There are so many options when it comes to bangs, so I’ve curated a few here to give you some bang-spiration!

TYPES OF BANGS

Classic Straight-Across

Everyone has had some variation of this, usually documented in elementary school pictures, but there are plenty of chic people in this day and age rocking these.

Celebrity inspiration: Zooey Deschanel, Gigi Hadid, Dakota Johnson

Long & Shaggy

If you have commitment issues when it comes to changing your look, try going for longer bangs. This way, when you inevitably decide to grow them out, it won’t take nearly as long, and you’ll look trendy in the process.

Celebrity inspiration: Selena Gomez, Anne Hathaway, J-Lo

Off To The Side

Not a fan of hair on your forehead, but still want to jump on the bang-wagon? Try side bangs, they’ll fall out of your face, while still framing it in a flattering way.

Celebrity inspiration: Emma Stone, Emma Watson, Reese Witherspoon

Behind The Curtain

My personal favorite this year is the curtain bang. It gives coverage for those of us who would rather cover our foreheads, but is soft and romantic, and easy to style to boot!

Celebrity inspiration:Penelope Cruz, Bella Thorne, Lea Michele

FINAL THOUGHTS

There you have it, the perfect way to end summer this year is, well, with a bang! Don’t forget to tag the salon in your bangin’ selfies!
